Mount Pleasant Park & Ride
Please arrive in time for a prompt 7.30pm start. Latecomers are not guaranteed to be invited.
Weymouth and Upwey train stations are both just over 2 miles away with buses stopping nearby both. First Wessex bus service 2 runs every 12 minutes.
We recommend lift-sharing to the venue. There is ample free parking available at the site, including 12 Blue Badge spaces.
From Dorchester, Damory bus service 1 (limited hours of operation) stops at Maiden Castle Road (10 minutes walk). Alternatively, First Service 10 (delete 183) serves Winterbourne Monkton (25 minute walk). Alight at Monkton Park and use the footpath from the village for 1 mile. South West Trains serve Dorchester South station (2 miles away).
Maiden Castle is located approximately 2 miles south west of Dorchester, off the A354 south of the bypass. There is a small car park with 20 spaces at the fort which can become busy at peak times – additional parking is available on 22 September.
Boscombe Overcliff and surroundings
Events take place across a range of venues in the Shelley Park area. You can choose your own route, but we encourage you to pick up a map at one of our information points if you would like to plan your journey on foot.
Parkwood Road bus stop is served by M2 Morebus buses or Boscombe, Ashley Road bus stop is served by Yellow Buses 1, 1a, 1b (both a 6-7 minute walk).
The nearest pay and display car park is Hawkwood Road BH5 1HD (10 minute walk). There is also limited on-street parking around Shelley Park and Boscombe
Daytime events take place along the Quay, and …sodade… will be performed in front of the Thistle Hotel. Both are on flat terrain and easily accessible by foot and bike.
Poole railway station is a 15 minute walk away via the High Street, and is serviced by South West Trains. Poole Bus Station (13 minute walk) is serviced by Morebus Local bus services and National Express coaches. The Poole Circular bus serves both the train station, bus station and Poole Quay.
Pay and display public car parking is available at Quay Visitor Car Park BH15 1SB (3 min walk) and the Dolphin Shopping Centre BH15 1TA (12 minute walk).
